St. Michael's Class of '84

Now, MaryAnn Hassan, I graduated from JMU with a nursing degree. Married Matt Hassan, grad of GMU, in 1993. Worked as an RN for 7 years, and then was able to stop to raise our children full time.
We currently are blessed with 6 children: Matthew (9), William (7), Patrick (6), Cecilia (4), Bernadette (3), and Michael (16 months). We enjoy home schooling to watch them all blossom! We are in St. John the Evangelist parish in Warrenton, VA – just about an hour from St. Mike’s. We even named our last son Michael both because of family and because of my fondness for St. Michael’s- it’s true!

	Fave St. Mike’s Memory: I have soo many fond memories of good old St. Mike’s, but I’ll single out one. I used to sit next to Brian Haney in class, and I would stare at his mess of a desk where he ALWAYS kept his Lord the Rings book at easy access in case he had a moment. At the time, I had no idea what in heck that book was- all I knew was that it must take a genius to read such a huge book! Little did I know that years later I would have my own sons who would live and breathe LOTR before it came out as the movies- my husband read it to them every night, and then my 9 year old read it himself and can tell you any part of the movie that it different from the book.
